03Branded Game · Mall Activation

Brushing isn't boring.

A Colgate Kids × Bluey tap game for a mall activation. Kids aged 3–6 catch falling germs and sweets on our 32" kiosk to score points, and every catch pops into a Colgate smile.

The idea

Tell a four-year-old to brush and you get a shrug. Let them catch the germs that rot their teeth, watch each one pop into a Colgate smile, and they'll queue for another round. The brand message is the game mechanic.

The guest flow

Sixty seconds of glorious chaos.

  1. Attract
    Step 01

    Attract

A slogan, the germ gang and a looping scene. One big red button, sized for small hands.

  2. 3 · 2 · 1
    Step 02

    3 · 2 · 1

A countdown builds the moment, and the parents gather round.

  3. Play
    Step 03

    Play

Germs, chocolate, soda and lollipops fall from the sky. Catch them before they escape: a regular germ is 10 points, a fast one 20, and the boss takes three taps for 50.

  4. Pop!
    Step 04

    Pop!

Every catch pops into the Colgate logo, with sparkles, points and sound.

  5. Win
    Step 05

    Win

Score, nickname, leaderboard. The top scorer gets a code to collect a gift at the booth.

The mechanic

Catch the germs. Score the points.

Germs and sweets fall from the sky, and kids have 60 seconds to catch as many as they can before they escape. Every catch scores points and pops into the Colgate logo. The brand is the reward, not an ad.

Colgate Kids
The craft

Art-directed, not assembled.

We explored five visual directions before locking the look, then refined every character. The boss germ alone went through two full versions.
